Introduction
I designed and illustrated a print ready label for
Melbourne based hot sauce company Hawt. This
project was a collaboration with Macgregor’s Original.
Brief
The client requested a logo and label design for an
upcoming condiment release. The brief required a
standalone image that evoked the terms ‘firey, sultry,
and spicy’. The colour pallete for the label had to be
blue and white to fit the branding of Macgregor’s
Original. The label had to be print-ready and an original
design.
My role
I developed a series of illustrations for the client to
choose from, eventually landing on the ‘flaming lips’
icon. I then created multiple designs of the label
typeface, placement and colourway. Finally, having
settled on the label, I created further assets for stickers,
merchandise, and posters.
